About Shaun

Shaun is an HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist with over 28 years of experience. He is able to provide a client centred approach through detailed assessments and interventions which have been created to maximise an individual’s functional independence. He has excellent communication skills with the children and their families, and can adapt these to each unique situation. Shaun has developed his listening skills to be able to support the clients to identify the areas they highlight and use his problem-solving skills.

He is experienced in supporting children with complex neurological conditions in relation to both postural management and treatment approaches. This also includes a specialist interest in the specialist equipment which can be crucial in providing both comfort as well as postural alignment for improved health.

Shaun is also experienced in working with clients with Learning Disabilities. He has worked in both special schools and homes to support the development of their independence in life skills such as personal care and domestic activities. Shaun has worked with clients to develop and implement sensory programmes through sensory integration and sensory diets to promote increased regulation throughout the day.

Shaun ensures that he delivers a high standard of care to the clients that he works with. The clients and their families are supported to ensure they feel valued in the assessment and treatment process. This involves a client centred approach to ensure their needs are being addressed with care and dignity.
