About Sharne

Sharne is an experienced and enthusiastic OT who has worked in a variety of settings. Sharne has many years’ experience working within heath and social care settings and in the private sector as an independent practitioner.

Sharne’s experience includes working with clients with physical and long term health conditions and in complex case work such as major and minor housing adaptations, specialist equipment and seating provision and moving and handling assessments and disabled facilities grants.

Sharne is passionate about providing high quality, holistic assessments and recommendations to enable her clients to regain and maintain their independence. Sharne particularly enjoys providing home based rehabilitation to clients and her experience includes working within both community and acute rehabilitation and reablement settings.

Sharne’s experience as a private practitioner has included working with local authorities supporting with clearing waiting list backlogs. Working on a discharge to assess unit setting up an OT service where there was not one previously, working closely with social workers and carers to right size care packages and ensure safe discharges back to the community. Sharne has extensive experience working closely with charities and case managers to deliver short and long term rehab programmes and treatment ensure the best possible outcomes for their clients.
