About Andrea

Andrea Antelo is an experienced, adaptable and highly motivated HCPC-registered Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury rehabilitation and long-term neurological conditions. She has worked across NHS and independent sector services, including hyperacute, acute, community and specialist neurorehabilitation settings.

Andrea has a strong background in managing complex neurological presentations involving physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioural impairments. Her clinical expertise includes cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation and management, spasticity management and splinting, as well as functional and community-based rehabilitation. She is skilled in delivering comprehensive neurological, functional, cognitive and risk assessments and evidence-based, person-centred rehabilitation programmes designed to maximise independence, safety and quality of life.

Andrea is highly experienced in moving and handling assessment and risk management, basic seating assessment, positioning and postural management, and environmental adaptations to support safe function and participation. She plays a key role in liaising effectively with families, community teams, social care and external agencies to ensure seamless transitions of care. She demonstrates excellent clinical reasoning, problem-solving and organisational skills when managing complex caseloads.
