About Alex

Having qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1998, Alex is an experienced, passionate, creative and adaptable HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. She has worked in a variety of sectors and settings, specialising in functional rehabilitation using evidence based practice enable her clients to achieve their goals. She is friendly, approachable and has excellent problem solving skills. Alex focuses on adding quality of life for each individual and their carers by optimising function and participation. She is knowledgeable and skilled in specialist adaptive equipment and manual handling techniques as well as in the management of long term and progressive conditions.

Having worked in the community setting for most of her career, Alex is a keen advocate for social inclusion and engagement as well as self-management of long term conditions. She has extensive experience of working across multiple agencies and with a wide variety of professionals in order to ensure her client has the best possible outcome of care. She is passionate about delivering high quality care and has excellent communication skills to ensure effective communication with clients, carers and other professionals.
