About Alessandra

Since qualifying in 2006, Alessandra has gained a broad range of clinical skills and experience. Her experience in community settings and in-patient rehabilitation units has provided her with the skills to treat clients with complex sensory-motor neurological conditions and injuries and support them with transitioning from a hospital to a community setting.

She has extensive experience in neurological and functional rehabilitation, as well as specialist equipment provision, moving and handling assessments, housing adaptations and wheelchair prescription. This enables her to provide holistic and comprehensive assessments and interventions to her clients. Alessandra is passionate about rehabilitation and providing her clients with the means to lead an independent and fulfilling life. She is creative in her approach and actively promotes client engagement in the decision-making process. She is an effective communicator with all clients, including those with cognitive, communication challenges or speaks English as second language.

Alessandra also has extensive experience in completing carer's assessments and providing support and training to formal and informal carers and prescribing care according to needs. Alessandra works collaboratively with her clients, their families and carers and the professionals who support them to facilitate optimum client outcomes.
