Walter Brazil

We are deeply saddened to share that Walter Brazil, our former co-owner, colleague and friend, died a few weeks ago.

Walter was part of Inclusion for more than 15 years and played an enormously important role in the company’s evolution and growth. His knowledge, judgement and commitment to doing things properly helped shape Inclusion throughout a significant part of our history, and his influence remains in much of who we are today.

He was an exceptional Occupational Therapist, extraordinarily sharp and knowledgeable, hugely experienced, quick-witted and deeply empathetic. He cared deeply about people and about the profession, and shared his knowledge generously with the many OTs and other professionals who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Those who knew Walter will remember the warmth and humour he brought with him, as well as his remarkable professional insight. He could challenge your thinking, teach you something new and make you laugh, quite often all at the same time.

His death is an enormous loss to everyone who knew and worked with him. He was, and always will be, a hugely important part of Inclusion.

Walter’s friends are arranging a memorial, likely to take place in London in mid to late October, where everyone who knew and cared about him will be able to come together to remember and celebrate his life.

Inclusion will also be organising a separate event for our team and associates in Walter’s memory. We will share details of both events as soon as the arrangements have been confirmed.

Walter was a remarkable OT, colleague, friend and person. He will be very deeply missed.
