About Jo
Qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 2005, Jo has gained extensive clinical experience, working both within statutory services and private practice; including working as an expert witness, providing specialist reports for the courts.
Jo has worked with clients with a wide range of needs resulting from a diverse range of injuries, life limiting conditions and illnesses; for example, brain and spinal injuries; amputations; orthopaedic trauma; cerebral palsy; multiple sclerosis; motor-neurone disease; cancer; arthritis and many more.
Jo has been providing in depth, holistic assessments for clients with multiple and complex needs for many years, honing her specialist assessment and report writing skills. Following her assessments, she provides detailed reports which outline her clients’ goals and her professional recommendations to address their rehabilitation; housing; equipment; moving and handling; postural; seating; and care needs.
She is able to design and deliver bespoke rehabilitation programmes; assess for and prescribe a wide range of specialist equipment; support her clients through the housing adaptation process; and provide training and support to family members and carers.
Jo is highly motivated and passionate about delivering a high standard of care to her clients. She works collaboratively with the client, their family and carers as well as the wider MDT to ensure optimal outcomes for each client.
