About Ellie

An Independent OT practitioner since 2009, Ellie has worked in various roles across the healthcare sectors, including the NHS, Adult Social Care, charities, OT agencies, housing providers, insurance companies, care homes and product companies delivering a client focussed, professional service in a cost effective and timely fashion.

With her knowledge and experience, she is able to offer a comprehensive OT service including equipment recommendations, seating assessments, housing adaptations, mobility assessments, manual handling advice, bespoke training courses and supervision of other staff.

Working with providers and clients she completes detailed assessments to identify individual needs as well as a variety of solutions to meet these. These can range from suggested items of equipment, minor works and adaptations through to major adaptations, extensions and rehousing recommendations.

A confident, competent and professional OT who is committed to raising the profile of the profession within the current Healthcare agenda. She relishes engaging with the possibilities and changes within the changing healthcare environment and keeping up to date with new areas of work, products and methods of delivering input.

She has excellent communication and IT skills and ensures that clinical reasoning and client-centeredness is clearly evidenced within her interventions. These skills also support her input in training to create interesting visual packages and enabling a positive learning environment.

Ellie is approachable and empathetic when communicating with clients, carers, other professionals and families as well as having good time management skills, being able to prioritise work within time pressures in order to meet targets and deadlines.
