As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, Charlotte has clinical experience working with children and young people within their homes and schools, collaboratively with parents and teaching staff. She has worked with children and young people with a wide range of needs and diagnoses, including Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia and Cerebral Palsy.
Charlotte provides specialist and comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments, including Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments. She delivers bespoke, goal focussed, therapy interventions based on assessment outcomes and targeted to improve development in the areas of motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing and independence.
Charlotte’s specialist area of interest is Autistic Spectrum Disorder/ Conditions (ASD/C) and Sensory Integration (SI) and is hoping to train to become a trained ADOS assessor in the future.
On a personal level, Charlotte was born prematurely at 25 weeks with health issues and needed support at school which caused confidence issues. It was not until later on in education, Charlotte realised there were other ways of learning and by taking another route, was able to achieve things she didn’t think were possible. This drove her to find a career that helps children and young people achieve their potential with the tools they have.
Charlotte is a caring and patient individual with a passion to help people; and possesses great communicational skills. She is diligent, organised, punctual and willing to take on challenges with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently.
