Will Bayley & Strictly Come Dancing

Vote Team #Pocketracket!

How well is Will Bayley doing on Strictly?! Some of the routines may have been challenging, but he has persevered and pushed himself to perform technical footwork to daring lifts! He is already a gold, silver & bronze-medal winning Paralympian….is there no end to his talents!

Inclusion.Me were lucky enough to meet Will Bayley at Byng Hall Table Tennis Club in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, after winning the LBA award in 2013. Will had just achieved medal success at London 2012, winning silver and bronze medals, so this was a great opportunity for us to work with Will to help highlight the importance of accessibility for local business’; it also let us see first hand how Byng Hall had offered Will and other young budding players facilities and coaching opportunities to inspire him and players from all ages, abilities and experience levels to achieve a real love and passion for the sport. The club has a fully accessible approach, offering a great inclusive environment for all while maintaining high standard facilities……and it’s all on our doorstep in Tunbridge Wells! It was inspirational to see the incredible skill that Will has developed in his sport through all his hard work, dedication and efforts, but we were also struck by his infectious warmth, sense of humour and humility – you should see the smile those medals give to anyone that gets to touch them!

Will continues to give back to the community and Byng Hall, along with fundraising efforts and support with local charities such as the Kent Sports Trust Foundation and Pepenbury.

Good Luck to Will and Janette this weekend and to Will in the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. We’re sure that they appreciate all of the public support they’ve received so far and we hope that they make it all the way to the final! So come on everyone, especially if you’re from Tunbridge Wells and Will’s local area, make sure you vote for Will this weekend!
