Inclusion.Me Sees Increasing Demand for Occupational Therapy Services

Award-winning Occupational Therapists, Inclusion.Me, continues to see increasing demand for their Occupational Therapy services underpinned by their high-quality customer service, expertise and market-leading solutions. We caught up with managing director, Matthew Box, to learn more about Inclusion.Me’s specialist occupational therapy services following their success in achieving the status of Best Occupational Therapy Service - South East England.

Firstly, can you detail some of the work of your firm?

Inclusion.Me was founded in 2009 leveraging our experience in occupational therapy and Disability Access Auditing over the past 20 years. We specialise in providing expert assessments and recommendations within the fields of rehabilitation, paediatrics, vocational rehabilitation, housing, equipment, mobility and access.

I established Inclusion.Me with the clear aim of improving the choice, quality and value for money of independent occupational therapy and disability access services which are available to public and private sectors in the UK.

We believe our experience is invaluable in identifying the most appropriate and creative solutions, particularly whilst assisting our service users through what can often be a complicated major adaptations process

Our public and independent client base covers the entire UK, with high client interest in Kent, London and the South-East. We enjoy strong customer returns built around our customer experience which emphasises quality assurance, trust and exceptional service delivery.

Some of our recent clients include:

  • Numerous local authorities including Kent County Council, The City of London and the London Boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Merton;

  • The Ministry of Defence (MOD), T&CHA, Watmos and The Church of England;

  • United Living and Pinnacle PSG;

  • Bush & Co, HCML, AIG, Harrison Associates and Argent Rehabilitation;

  • Leicester Charity Link, The Salvation Army and Guinness Trust;

  • Selfridges and ZSL.

With regards to social care, what is your department or team’s focus? How does your previous experience impact this?

We find that many local authority Occupational Therapy services are currently seeking new options to meet their key performance indicators within ever-tightening budgets. Their in-house services are frequently stretched beyond capacity.

At Inclusion.Me we can help by managing specific services on our clients’ behalf. These include:

  • Providing expert, independent housing needs reports;

  • Outsourced occupational therapy waiting list support and expertise;

  • Adult and paediatric occupational therapy expertise;

  • Immediate access to a nationwide range of occupational therapy specialisms including: rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, paediatric and hand therapy services;

  • Manual handling solutions and expertise;

  • Installation of high quality wet rooms, access improvements and kitchen re-designs and;

  • Extensions, new builds and complex adaptation project management.

Our clients can select the most appropriate, cost effective and creative solutions for their needs and benefit from our expertise.

What is your firm’s overall mission and what steps do you take to achieve this?

Our mission is to provide accessible services that are underpinned by dignity and empowerment. We aim to:

  1. Apply ‘universal design’, maximising usability of facilities for all without neglecting the importance of aesthetic.

  2. Ensure the provision of high quality assessments and interventions for all service sectors.

  3. Provide access to expert therapists, to maximise functional independence and choice.

  4. Act as a centre of excellence for knowledge and innovation in practice.

  5. Ensure maximisation of Service User involvement in relation to service provision.

Our award-winning reputation is founded on our provision of reliable assessments and analysis of functional ability by our network of knowledgeable, expert occupational therapists.

Working in such a vital sector, what techniques do you employ to ensure that you always offer the very best service?

Our award winning team of OT experts have extensive skills and knowledge in fieldwork, specialist assessments for equipment and adaptations and complex problem/resolution roles and are taken through a stringent registration process prior to working with Inclusion.Me.

They are all members of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy. In addition to one or more of the colleges’ specialist sections, they are all registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), hold their own professional indemnity insurance (alongside our own) as well as an annual clear enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
