• Matthew has played a critical part in ensuring that the OT team has contributed to the overall performance of the OT team, which in turn has contributed to LB of Southwark’s success in moving to 3 star status in November 04. Part of this has included in reviewing the working arrangements of the team such that the output of the team in terms of assessments and equipment provision has increased by 28% over the financial year just ended compared to 03/ 04.  Similarly, he has played an important part, under his line manager, in assessing the quality of a number of firms competing for the award of the provision of the equipment service to the LB of Southwark, Southwark PCT, and Southwark Education Dept.

• One of Matthew’s characteristics is a strong commitment to delivery of a good service to clients through ensuring that referrals are progressed promptly and assessments undertaken competently.  Matthew has also worked as part of a management team and displayed excellent team working skills that have enabled significant throughput changes to be made within the OT service.  Matthew is very much a completer/ finisher who can be relied upon to carry through tasks assigned him.  He is good at planning g ahead and ensuring that resource deficiencies are identified in good time and securing these appropriately.  He works with clients and their carers in a caring and professional manner.
