Care Home, Charity, Insurance and Housing Association Work
Inclusion are able to provide a full range of Occupational Therapy services to care homes, housing associations, charities, solicitors and insurance companies to name but a few.
A growing number of housing associations & charities are using Inclusion’s Occupational Therapy service to provide a speedy response to ensure their tenants are not faced with lengthy waiting times. This service includes recommendations to assist with minor works and major adaptations to properties, including rails, lifts, specialist baths as well as over bath and level access showers. We have recently carried out work for the Salvation Army, Odyssey, Heathview Tennant’s Association & HCML to name but a few.
Our main goal is always to help people remain independent in their own homes and to work closely with our clients at all times.
Residential units are often asked to have an occupational therapy assessment to review the accessibility of their services and may also look for OT input to assist with such issues as a redesign or refurbishment of their facilities to suit the needs of all their residents. We can also assist with individual resident assessments as well as undertaking assessments of risk for residents and carers around issues such as manual handling or specialist equipment. We can also undertake joint visits with a representatives of the equipment manufacturer to trial equipment before a purchase is made to ensure suitability. We have recently undertaken such work on behalf of numerous organisations such as SC Healthcare, Larchfield & Copperfields care homes.
We are able to provide independent assessments in cases of review, complaint or potential litigation, providing either general Occupational Therapy recommendations or detailed compensation claim reports. We can provide detailed ergonomic workstation reports as well as case management in vocational rehab relationships. We work with OT’s who have been trained by and worked for the country’s No 1 rehab cost consultancy, we have recently worked on behalf of both solicitors and insurance companies such as Osbourne & Co and HCML.
Our OT’s will carry out a comprehensive assessment and complete a full, detailed report. If needed, details of equipment or adaptations required by the customer can be outlined and priced as can long term care packages for any of the above mentioned services.
