Our low energy pneumatic door opening system / pneumatic door opener can be retro fitted onto a door to replace an existing sprung manual door closer. The system can be operated by a light touch pad switch and greatly improves access for people with mobility impairments.

This extremely cost-effective system costs as little as a third of other systems available.

To be fully accessible, Part M requires that doors must be able to be opened using a maximum force of 30N. However, in practice, a greater force is normally required to fully close the door due to friction in the hinges and interference with any door seals.

The Pneumadoor opening system solves this problem by incorporating a pneumatic opening alternative for those that need assistance. The unit retains a conventional spring assembly to close the door, and can be retro-fitted to replace any existing manual door closer. The system enables normal operation of the door when automatic opening is not required.
